Joining a Cooperative FAQs
1. Why are other aircraft ownership programs more
expensive than LetsFly.org?
LetsFly.org is a cooperative organization dedicated to making
flying affordable. In addition, most other aircraft ownership programs
specialize in expensive aircraft that allows them to charge in the
hundreds of thousands of dollars a month in maintenance and management
fees. LetsFly on the other hand, is managed locally and is
"subsidized" through manufactures and service provider rebates,
discounts and commissions. 2. Why don't
other aircraft ownership programs offer less expensive economical
aircraft?
Exorbitant fees cannot be charged for economy aircraft. Therefore, in
order to accomplish a program with economical, inexpensive aircraft, a
company must rely on volume and or the cooperative efforts of others.
3.
How
much does it cost to join a local flight center or own an individual
co-operative aircraft ownership?
Joining a local flight center in it's shared ownership program
starts with just a $2900 initial investment. Some cooperatives offer
Fly To Own as an option to build a
credit towards your share. Back to

Owning a Cooperative FAQs
1. What are the requirements to become a flight center or
a local cooperative?
Fill
out an application
and receive approval. 2. What is
the cost to become a Flight Center/Distributor?
An initial investment of $4700 based on
approved credit.
3. Why should I pay $4700 to
form a co-ownership, flying club, or flight school?
Because it is the best value in aviation. The average cost to
properly setup a co-ownership, partnership, club, flight school, etc,
is $8500 and a lot of leg work and time. We have seen costs in the
$12,000 - $15,000 range with attorney fees and other "perks" that are
standard in our
Cooperative Ownership Package. In addition, our package is
turn-key, requiring no leg work and very little time.
4. What are the requirements to maintain a Flight Center?
Offer one or more cooperative aircraft, have some management
experience or own an aviation/non aviation business.
5. How much commission is paid out and what kind of
yearly income or return on investment can I make?
A flight center
application must be received before commission structure can be
disclosed.
6. I would like to invest in an aircraft for the
income and the tax benefits. How does the cooperative system differ
from a rental, leaseback, or traditional aviation opportunity?
We provide a detailed plan outlining a positive cash flow that in
most cases is better than a traditional leaseback. In addition,
excellent commissions are paid on aircraft and aviation product sales.

Shared Ownership FAQs
1. Why is it so much less expensive to own and fly an
aircraft with LetsFly as compared to other fractional ownership
companies?
LetsFly.org is the ultimate "shared ownership" program. It is
not a franchise, flying club, co-ownership, flight school, or FBO.
LetsFly.org is an aviation cooperative. While it utilizes the positive
aspects of these programs, it is fundamentally different: LetsFly
cooperatives are "subsidized" by our providers, focus on the members,
are locally owned and operated, utilize the resources of all it's
members, are cooperative rather than competitive in nature and
collectively obtain better discounts and benefits, etc. These and
other "built in" savings and benefits make it easy and affordable for
nearly everyone to own and fly a new aircraft.
2. Why can't I start my own co-ownership, flying club
or fractional ownership program without the Letsfly Cooperative
System?
A person can continue these traditional ways of doing business in
aviation. However, highly successful cooperatives have been used in
other industries; sometimes out of necessity such as in settling the
west in the 1800's or for the survival of an industry. Cooperatives
were used at other times because of their principles and practices
which produce a more desirable result. The LetsFly Cooperative System
has adapted these principles to an aviation business plan and has
produced the following results: Better capitalization, financing and
utilization; lower insurance, marketing and advertising costs, as well
as better group discounts. In addition, the cooperative efforts and
resources of members, manufacturers, and other providers lower the
cost of flying further and provide extra income earning capabilities.
Members may also receive discounts and fly aircraft at other flight
centers. Back to Top
